Chatted with Sara this morning on facebook. Thanks for putting a comment on the blog Sara. Then skyped with the Repars. Aiden (Immy & Peter's 6 yr old grandson) asked "'Öpa, why did you kill the pylons?" We had a good chuckle about that then and several times today.

Here we stopped for breakfast. Awesome picnic table. Thought I had the coffee all figured out, but.... not at this restaurant. Flat white this time. Still $4. |

Largest "red hot pokers"' I've ever seen. 6'' flowers. |

We were going to do Stewart Island, but simply do not have time.
This is the closest we got. |

Stewart Island is in the distance. Above Peter's head. Not too clear. (The Island that is...not Peter's head). |

The enormous steep roads are all over NZ. Gorgeous view again. |

This is the furthest South on the South Island as we drove.
A Kodak moment is a must.
Arrived in Dunedin at 3:15, found the campground, walked to town,
and bought more groceries and booze.
Frozen pizza cooked in camp kitchen and ice cream for dessert.
Actually we had the ice cream first. Mmmmm. |
Aren't the flowers and trees amazing down there? I like the sound of your supper! Had to laugh at Aiden's question? That must have left some explaining to do for Mommy.
ReplyDeleteYou all look so happy.
I can't wait until this weekend when you Skype us from Chrissy's.
We can't wait until you get home and we spend an evening (a long one) listening to the details of this magnificent trip!
As usual ... gorgeous pictures.
Love Janice & Paul
Still loving the pictures of the flowers!
