This picture is for you Paul and Janice. Leura Cherry Blossom trees that were in full bloom when you were here. |
Cake and coffee. That was all we ate all day. Sooo filling, but sooo lekker. $91.00 lekker. We received Lemon and Passion Fruit butter as a gift from Ian & Chrissy for our journey up North. |
Another picture where Paul and Ian also sat waiting. |
Blue Mountains It drizzled most of the day. It was a warm though and it just made the rain forest more mysterious. |
Laughter and lots of fun all day long. Awesome day. |
One of the three cable car transport methods. Scenic Railway was this one. Couldn't even sit up straight. Crazy. |
The Three Sisters in the mist. |
Chrissy and Ian looking adorable. |
Cute little penguins in Australia. |
Quite the achievement to get up there. Very slippery. |
Peter got a kiss for helping us. |
Cockatoo. (Rats of the skies) |
Got my eyes covered here. Very steep downhill. 52% angle. Crazy. |

Magnificent display. |
Mountain Blue Gum |
Eucalyptus |
Orchids in Chrissy's grandmother's lovely vase. |
I mentioned to Chrissy and Ian that Peter loves hamburgers. And voila, that was on the menu for supper. We had the best day ever. We love our new family. |
Welcome back! We missed you blogging for a week! Yes, Alida, we do see you peeking out the window of the little building. I also must ask, how can you go sight-seeing with your eyes closed???
ReplyDeleteAs always, the scenery is absolutely beautiful, in spite of the rain. Chrissy said it hasn't stopped raining since you left them. They are having serious flooding in NSW.
Boy do these pictures of Blue Mountain ever bring back beautiful memories!
Nature is so gorgeous when untouched by man.
I like your three Australian penguins ... cute!
Can't wait to see the pictures you are taking in the outback. I can't wait to hear about what the church underground was like.
Enjoy the rest of your fabulous trip and keep these blogs coming! They are great!
Love Janice & Paul
P.S. The beautiful orchids do Mom's vase justice! They are gorgeous! Quite the hamburger spread the bunch of you are having!
ReplyDeleteChrissy & Ian are really quite the host and hostesses.
Hi everyone! These are great pics, it was so much fun taking you to the blue mountains, even in the rain! I can't wait to see the pics from your journey after leaving us! Ian is wondering if you went to Kangaroo Island because according to his calculations, you have travelled very far up north and may not have gone...
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see you again on your way back!!
Lots of love
Chrissy xo
I'm glad to see you're finally able to blog again - I've been checking daily! What an adventure you guys are having.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite picture is the one of the blue and orange carpet of flowers between the trees. And of course all the beautiful birds. They make sighting a cardinal in Toronto seem pretty tame!
WOW, that is very steep. Glad you survived. Are those blue and yellow flowers through the forest real? That is the coolest thing ever if they are!
