March 10, 2012 Sat Day 30 Alice Springs

We stayed at the same campsite in Alice Springs one more night.
The guys wanted to go to a transportation museum,
so they dropped us off at the Olive Pink Botanical Garden.
It was hard to kill 2 hrs, so after 1/2 hr, we found a couch and waited it out.
Quite comfortable in an air conditioned room with a coffee and cake.

Wattle.  Australian's national flower.

Darling Lily

Crotalaria Species

Eucalyptus

Finke River Mallee

When the guys picked us up two hours later, with an attempt to turn around in the parking lot, a pole hit our bumber and hurt it. We went back to the museum...they weren't done yet.
Back at the campgrounds, a cockroach as big as my pinky, without the whiskers. Yuck.

No Kodak moment for him.

As soon as we arrive at our campsites, we find the pool to cool off.

  1. The flowers are absolutely gorgeous! That dip in the pool looks so refreshing!
What is a cough? You said you had coffee there.
We miss you back home, but are thrilled you are having such a magnificent time!
